Teenage Fanclub. For me the name conjures images of Everything Flows and A Catholic Education as much as it does Verisimilitude and Songs From Northern Britain. The band's early output, whilst lacking the more whimsical sense of melody of their latter years, is where I find myself most often returning. Alcoholiday trumps I Don't Want Control Of You every single time. Regardless, the band are set to return later this year with the release of their new album Shadows and they've just announced an intimate show at The Academy on Sunday, May 30th.
