Power of Dreams to reissue 'Immigrants'

Christ was this really 20 years ago? Power of Dreams have just recently announced a short UK and Irish tour to commemorate the anniversary of the release of their much lauded debut album. There's also a double CD which will contain the original tracks, some B-sides and tracks taken from various EPs. For me this album is tied up with memories of the Madchester era - The Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and The Charlatans were press darlings of the time - which the band referenced on 'Never Been To Texas'. They never matched its promise, subsequently releasing three more albums to general indifference. The world had moved on and Andrew Weatherall probably didn't like them much anymore. A product of its time sure, but a frequently lovely record.

Those live shows then.........

5th March 2010 – London, The Luminaire
6th March 2010 – Birmingham, The Flapper
7th March 2010- Guildford, The Boileroom
10th March 2010 – Dundalk, The Spirit Store
12th March 2010 – Dublin, Whelans
13th March 2010 – Cork, The Pavillion
